The Human Service Center (HSC) serves as the community-outreach arm of PSCP: The Psychology Network. The main focus of the HSC is to address the mental health needs of the community by promoting psychology to the public. The Center provides low-cost psychological services to those in need, educational programs, counseling referral services, professional development and mentoring of graduate students. The HSC also provides community updates in the areas of psychological treatment, training, mental-health prevention, social-activism, and legislation / public policy.

Services for the Community
HSC Client Services: Affordable psychotherapy services are offered to those who are not able to pay full fees. Interested parties contract with one of our highly qualified and experienced volunteer therapists, at a reduced cost; the money is donated back to the center.
HSC Referral Services: General referral services are offered to those looking for a qualified and experienced therapist in their area. This is accomplished by contacting our administrative office. Student Benefits: Through their affiliation with PSCP: The Psychology Network, graduate students may attend free networking events, which may assist them in procuring practicums, internships, jobs, post-docs, and other clinical placements and experiences. In addition, by becoming student members, graduate students may seek out opportunities within the Society such as acting as a student liaison to the Board or being mentored by a seasoned professional. Graduate students are also eligible for reduced therapy fees through HSC Client Services.
Public Policy: The Psychology Network acts as a clearing house of information regarding updates in public policy, legislation, human rights, social responsibility, and clinical information. It also informs the public of community based programs in the areas of school psychology, trauma prevention, and substance abuse. (See “Social Action” on the Main Menu.)
