Earlier in my career, I spent 4 years working at the Wharton School at UPenn and teaching at Villanova. In the mid-80’s I went into full time private practice and trained both as a psychoanalyst and in other more short-term modalities. My research interest has been in Clinical Wisdom and I have taught and published on the topic. I am Past President of the Couples and Family Therapy Section of APA’s Division of Psychoanalysis and am the current Board Chair of the Scattergood Foundation for Behavioral Health.
