I was born in Brooklyn, New York, raised in Texas, attended Hobart College, the University of Colorado, the University at Caen (France), the University of London and Bryn Mawr College where I received the Ph.D. in Human Development. I am licensed in psychology and certified in psychoanalytic psychotherapy by the Philadelphia Psychoanalytic Institute and Society.
