I enjoy working with people and helping them to find solutions and/or ways to cope with their dilemmas. I believe that respect for the individual is crucial, as is empowerment. I am a certified Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapist (see www.eft.ca). Mine is an active therapeutic approach. I have specialty training in family and couples therapy. I have trained physicians, so I also am comfortable collaborating with them regarding health and medical issues.
I am a member of the American Psychological Association, the American Academy of Family Therapy, The New Jersey Psychological Association and the Philadelphia Society of Clinical Psychologists. I have trained therapists at The Council for Relationships (founded as the Marriage Council of Philadelphia).
