My goal as a therapist is to help clients get where they need to be with special strength in coping with change, managing stress and developing resilience in an ever-changing world.

I am a licensed psychologist with 25 years in clinical practice. Extensive work in the field of stress, coping and resilience has been useful in navigating issues of loss, uncertainty about the future, meaning, purpose and other existential challenges in the aftermath of threats from 9/11 to COVID. Related specialties include assessment and treatment of depression & anxiety, compulsive behaviors, and recent focus on screens, technology and overuse of anything that distracts from day-to-day struggles through avoidance. My goal is to help clients understand, face and manage problems through a wide range of evidence-based techniques, such as CBT and other treatment strategies. My approach is collaborative and determined by individual needs and personal goals, as no two people are the same. My formal training is in cognitive, psychodynamic and solution-focused psychotherapies, and I frequently update my skill set with current approaches to modern problems. I am happy to answer any questions free of charge by phone and currently see clients both in the office and on Zoom.
