I work on healing from the impact that chaotic families have on adult relationships.
If you were raised in a chaotic family system, you are not alone.
Whether the family has a member with substance dependence, serious mental illness, overly controlling parenting styles, emotional neglect, or inconsistent patterns of attachment and love, a chaotic family system leaves a mark on our mental well-being, our trust in relationships and trust in our own emotions and physical self.
Adult children may experience many residual issues such as low self-esteem, difficulty in romantic relationships or friendships, productivity issues and anxiety or depression to manage the aftereffects of this family. Additionally, if the family is still present, setting boundaries may be difficult and support can help make that easier.
Therapy is a safe place where we can share what it was like in each member's family, and learn how to establish healthy relationships, manage emotions that can derail the day and find a new peace in daily living.
