First Tuesday of the month at noon, EST, 1 hour, monthly;
No prior knowledge of Buddhism or Buddhist psychology is required to participate.
A space for clinicians who are interested in learning about Buddhist psychology in both a conceptual and experiential sense. We will collaboratively explore how basic Buddhist constructs and meditative techniques can serve as effective interventional strategies in clinical practice as well as in our own journeys.
Opening Meditation (5 minutes)
Topic Presentation (15 minutes)
Questions/Discussion (15 minutes)
Meditation relating to the topic presented (15 minutes)
Follow up questions (5 minutes)
Meetings over time will be organized as a repeating five-part cycle where each part both deepens and extends experience with these concepts and skills:
Self, Interdependence, and Emptiness
Suffering
Meditation and daily living practices
Awareness, Mindfulness, and Concentration
Dharma and Karma
