Most people will experience challenges with their sexual health at some point during their lifetime. Workshop participants will learn how to support clients from diverse backgrounds experiencing normative sexual changes or sexual challenges related to cancer and chronic illness in mental health and medical settings.

Objectives:

  1. Evaluate personal/clinical biases related to sexuality of older adults.
  2. Identify some of the “normative” changes that accompany aging for men and women.
  3. List physical and psychological factors that contribute to sexual issues with aging.
  4. Discuss 1 to 3 cancer related sexuality changes that may accompany aging.
