Join the Virtual Trauma, PTSD, and Dissociative Disorders Study Group. Come, share, and learn from each other.

Meet online with other professionals with interest and expertise in the treatment of trauma, PTSD, and dissociative disorders. Enhance your understanding, skills, and practice through the discussion of current knowledge and its applications. We will share information, case examples, useful techniques, and personal experiences as professionals in this field.

Possible topics of interest:

  1. Differential diagnosis
  2. Using assessment techniques
  3. Processing traumatic memories
  4. Dealing with flashbacks
  5. Affect management
  6. Somatic approaches to treatment
  7. Transference and counter-transference issues
  8. Suicidal and homicidal tendencies
  9. Self-harm
  10. Using medications
  11. Using hospitalizations
  12. Hypnosis, EMDR, trauma-informed yoga, art therapy
  13. Dealing with shame
  14. Dealing with societal disbelief and denial

 

We plan to meet online, the last Wednesday of the month at 12pm Noon. PSCP members in all phases of training/expertise are welcome.
