Virtual: Movie Showing and Discussion

Hosted by PSCP: The Psychology Network Diversity Subcommittee

Sunday, February 5, 2023 at 3pm

(Movie Running Time: 1 hour 40 minutes)

Join us to watch, 13th, a riveting documentary created by award winning writer and director, Ava Duvernay. Immediately following the film, we will engage in a lively discussion about the film and how it can inform our clinical work and advocacy as mental health professionals.

The film explores the “intersection of race, justice, and mass incarceration in the United States” and is titled after the Thirteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, adopted in 1865, which abolished slavery throughout the United States and ended involuntary servitude except as a punishment for conviction of a crime.

Please RSVP by emailing PSCPAdmin@philadelphiapsychology.org by Thursday, February 2, 2023 please include your Name and Email Address, to receive the zoom link for this virtual event.
